Learning to manage pocket money is a key lesson for children. That's why we have created "Pocket Money" a game in which children will learn to identify coins and bills and distinguish amounts in a fun way. It is the children's version of one of the most popular adult games, "Accurate Payments".
This activity consists of selecting the amount of money requested. The maximum amount that will appear by default will be of 10$, because we presuppose that the children will handle a budget of these characteristics for their expenses: sweets, stickers, soft drinks, comics... If the therapist wants a larger amount you can change it in "personalized modes".
NeuronUP offers occupational therapists the possibility to customize the game for each patient according to their abilities. The aspects of the game the professional can personalize are:
The occupational therapist can also customize: the number of exercises to finish (total worked, passed, acceptable or failed), time limit, inclusion of an inactivity warning and whether to show an activity timer.
We are working on a game related to "Pocket Money" where the knowledge acquired about money management will be come into play. In this case the kids will be asked to buy some things and will have to pay for them.
Also if you have any ideas, comments or suggestions about these activities for kids, please write to us at [email protected] . Remember, we build NeuronUP together!
