The concept of 'Theory of Mind' (ToM) refers to the ability to understand and predict other people's behaviour, knowledge, intentions and beliefs. We know that this is a fundamental area (and many of you have made this known to us too), so we have begun to work on creatingpractical Theory of Mind activities.
The ToM is fundamental to relate to others, because kids will learn to deduce what others think in different situations and to assimilate what details should be taken into account when dealing with others.
Working on this skill will also help them understand what other children may feel and think differently about the same situation.
This is an activity to work first-order false-belief tasks.
This exercise is focus to unexpected-contents false-belief tasks.
This one works second-order false-belief tasks.
These three activities are available in both paper and digital formats and can be found in the social cognition area of the platform.
At the moment you will find only medium level activities from these Theory of Mind worksheets. We will be adding other levels, creating new stories and developing new approaches, according to your comments and appreciations. So we ask that you contact us at [email protected] with your comments and those of your users after playing with this new activities. We hope you like them and we're sure you'll find them very useful!
After the incorporation of the text-to-speech program that give voice to the instructions of all the activities on the platform, now we are including audios in all the explanatory texts of the activities.
This improvement will help patients to understand the exercise much better. Also people with sight problems or reading comprehension problems will be able to understand the instructions of the game. We remind you that we still need your opinion to improve the text-to-speech program!
Now, the professional can choose the maximum errors that each user can make in Marking Words activity.
