Do you think your patients are able to tell the difference between the sounds of a coffee maker and a blender? And between a pan frying and a pot cooking? Now you can find out with “What’s Making Noise in the kitchen?”, the new game to develop auditory discrimination skills.
Patients must be able to identify the sounds heard in the context of a kitchen. It is an activity with high ecological value, because the patient must be able to recognize the sounds of different objects from their day to day life (a frying pan, a coffee maker, a can opener, a toaster, etc.). This capacity is fundamental to develop working properly in the kitchen and to avoid problems and dangers.
NeuronUP offers occupational therapists the possibility to customize the game for each patient according to their abilities. In this way, the professional can choose:
The occupational therapist can also customize: the number of exercises to finish (total worked, passed, acceptable or failed), time limit, inclusion of an inactivity warning and whether to show activity timer.
