Now in NeuronUP the children can paint too. Today we launch Painting and coloring, a new cognitive stimulation worksheet for children which consists on coloring the drawing as the model.
This new activity is available in digital and paper format. This is very important! Depending on the format used (paper or digital), the kids will work different cognitive functions.
What cognitive functions are worked with this worksheet in paper format?
Painting and coloring in paper format works the visuoconstructive praxias. This worksheet stimulates fine motor skill because of the main objective is that the child colors in without going over the lines.
The clients will also exercise the visual gnosis and selective attention. Visual gnosis is worked when children have to try to identify which color to choose in each case. On the other hand, the kids have to be careful in order not to leave anything of the drawing unpainted. In this way, children work selective attention.
What cognitive functions are worked with this worksheet in digital format?
In addition, this worksheet in digital format has the adaptability “laterality”. The therapist can choose on which side of the model they want to see the model depending on if the child is left-handed or right-handed. This way the child does not cover the drawing when he/she is coloring and can paint more easily.
In addition this new functionality is also created for people with mobility problems. With this change, they can play the game with both hands. It is also an interesting option to use with patients with heminegligence.
How do you choose the adaptability “laterality”?
To activate the adaptability “laterality” the therapist has to follow the next steps:
1. Create a session.
2. Add Painting and coloring worksheet you want to work with.
3. Choose correct/free mode –left.
